Intersputnik attended the 62nd session of the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space

June 12-15, 2019 – Intersputnik’s Executive Director Victor Veshchunov attended the 62nd session of the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UN Committee on Outer space) held in Vienna, Austria. Intersputnik has had permanent observer status with this Committee since 1985 and participates on a regular basis in its sessions as well as annual meetings of the legal subcommittee. Today, the Committee on Outer Space includes 92 member-states and a whole range of intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations as permanent observers. Within the framework of the general debate, Intersputnik gave a presentation on its activities in the field of international space law and policy.
