Join World Space Week!

In 1999, the United Nations General Assembly declared “World Space Week” to be held every year from 4 to 10 October to celebrate the contribution of space science and technology to the betterment of the human condition.

World Space Week is the largest event in the world dedicated to the exploration and use of outer space. Thousands of space sector organizations around the world, including state space agencies and private companies, educational institutions and academia, hold events united by a common theme.

To celebrate the contribution of women to the development of the space sector, this year’s theme of World Space Week is “Women in Space”.

Intersputnik will take part in a number of events within the framework of World Space Week 2021, including RUDN University Space Week held by by the People’s Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University), one of the leading Russian research and educational centres. RUDN University Space Week will take place from 4 to 7 October to feature online lectures, panel discussions and questions-and-answers sessions.

Intersputnik is a partner of RUDN University Space Week. Оn 4 October from 15:00 to 17:50 Moscow time (GMT+3) its representatives – Ksenia Drozdova, Director General, and Elina Morozova, Executive Director, – will take part in this event as a speaker and a moderator.
